About me: Abby G.

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and attended Whitworth University in eastern Washington for my Bachelor's degree. While Whitworth has award-winning teaching with its small class sizes and dedicated professors, it did not provide many research opportunities or graduate students to mentor undergrads.

I worked for a few years after college at a mid-sized university in Oregon, where she benefited from meeting graduate students and gaining lab experience.

Since beginning my program at Michigan, I have enjoyed the large but tight-knit community I found in PIBS and the Physiology department, and am excited about helping new graduate students adjust to life at Michigan.
